Crosby Farm Regional Park St. Paul, Minnesota In partnership with Mississippi Park Connection, I facilitated "Celebrating Summer Solstice: BIPOC-Centered Outdoor Art Gathering" where I guided participants in creating their own unique, Mother Earth-themed, pop-out poetry books. To view anonymous participant feedback from this activity, click here A brief overview of participant feedback: *Over half of participants had no prior bookmaking experience. *The majority of participants expressed interest in learning more about bookmaking + origami/paperfolding in the future. *Over half of participants appreciated making art in community with one another. What participants enjoyed the most from this activity (select comments): "[I] enjoyed the amount of choice (types of books, things to learn), and also being able to talk to folks while making [books]."
